Choose a Faction – Supply Units

The game economy revolves around Supply Units (SU).
Supply Units are a unit of measure that determines how much P worth of ships can be maintained, constructed, or moved between regions.

    • Your starting fleet will be 32,000 Supply Units.
    • A region can only hold 32,000 Supply Units worth of ships.
    • Regions not under attack can produce 3,200 Supply Units worth of ship each turn.
    • A fleet or ship must be a MINIMUM of 3,200 Supply Units in size before it can jump to another region.

What The Hell Does That Mean?

The Faction you’ve chosen determines how much P you’ll have to work with.

SU’s are converted to P based on these rates:

Faction SU Conversion P Size of Starting Fleet Max P a Region Can Support Ship P a Region Produces Per Turn Minimum P Size to Make a Jump
Sentinel 0.5 16,000 P 16,000 P 1,600 P 1,600 P
Crystalline 0.5 16,000 P 16,000 P 1,600 P 1,600 P
Terran 0.5 16,000 P 16,000 P 1,600 P 1,600 P
Tinkrell 0.5 16,000 P 16,000 P 1,600 P 1,600 P
Bee 1.0 32,000 P 32,000 P 3,200 P 3,200 P
Farmer 1.2 38,400 P 38,400 P 3,840 P 3,840 P
Reds 2.0 64,000 P 64,000 P 6,400 P 6,400 P

For the purposes of this documentation, I will explain the rules of the game in terms of Supply Units because P values will vary by your chosen faction.

FOR EXAMPLE: All players start with 32,000 Supply Units (SU) with which to build their starting ships.

  • If the player chose to play Sentinel, Crystalline, Terran, or Tinkrell they would have 16,000P to work with.
  • If the player chose to play Bee, they would have 32,000P to work with.
  • If the player chose to play Farmer, they would have 38,400P to work with.
  • If the player chose to play Reds, they would have 64,000P to work with.

Once you’ve chosen your faction, that’s what your ships will be for the entire game. You can’t change factions.

Note: normal R is not used in the game at all, thus resource capacity, factories, harvesters, and solar panels are all pointless.
There are no fuel or maintenance costs to calculate. All overhead is restricted by Supply Units and Region Limits.
