Free-for-All Brawl #2 (Factories) – April 27th, 2018

Free-for-All Brawl #2 – Factories

  • 8000p ships battling in an arena all at the same time.
  • Ships had to have a factory and enough resource capacity to reproduce themselves.
  • Obliterators were allowed, but had their laser width reduced to 1 so it wouldn’t clip through armor.
  • Nukes were allowed, the their radius was reduced to 150 and their durability was reduced from 10 to 4.
  • Tinkrell were limited to 40 generators.
  • Asteroid Thrusters were banned.

There were three rounds with a 60,000 sized arena.

Alpha Core [by Starficz]
Not only was Starficz’s ship Farmer, but it was also only 3,922P. Highly condensed hyperstacking and kiter design could not make up for it’s fragility.

Chronous Experimental Torp Dreadnought [by Husk]
Lots of Terran armor and a weaved array of torpedos made this a dangerous foe for anything positioned in front of it. It’s sturdiness however, also left it vulnerable to kiting.

Floating Disappointment [by MonsPubis]
The only thing disappointing about the design was that it was Farmer, otherwise it was surprisingly durable and long-lived. Many times resurrecting itself from what should have been complete annihilation.

Goddess of Camo [by Camo5]
A classic Camo5 Tinkrell ship. Packed a powerful punch, but was edged-out a number of times by the more on-target Silver Bullet.

Groans – Moaning Drones [by Debris]
An edited ship from the design that did so well in the first Brawl. Quick and dangerous, this little assassin dominated the third round, but met unlucky fates in the first two matches.

Heat Death [by Icemourn]
Bringing the heat in the form of nukes, this ship held up well against many of the larger brawlers, and generally only met trouble when faced with the Tinkrell kiters.

HMS Death Crab [by superbusy]
The Crab put it’s proton beam claws to work against the other brawlers, but did not have the mobility to deal with the faster ships.

Insomnia Sleep Deprived and Beautiful Caffeine [by Infamous YenYu]
If sleep deprivation is what it takes to make ships that look this good, then I need to do more all-nighters. YenYu’s Terran ship is one of the most beautifully organic designs we’ve seen. It also packed a large punch with its mortars and varied array of turrets. Looking good and holding it’s own against even the most massive of the other brawlers.

Lagarius Class Battlecruiser [by Toxico]
Durable Sentinel armor and broadside volleys of splash weapons allowed Toxico’s ship to engage the toughest opponents. Only to be outdone near the end of matches when the kiters reigned supreme.

Luminaris [by Splinter]
The Luminaris easily had the longest range of the Tinkrell ships and was generally able to dispense pain without having to get it’s hands dirty. However, it did not have the staying power of some of the other Tinkrell ships once it came down to an end-game duel.

Mutated Farmers [by Command Execute]
This ship clearly had a chip on it’s shoulder, and aggressively engaged much larger and more dangerous enemies. Duking well above it’s Farmer weight class. Unfortunately, it is still Farmer and sometimes things would hit back.

Orion Class Ferolder MK5-3-2 Stubnose Mother Varia Repentia Something Something Something Dark Side [by Lapapsnow]
Laps’s Ferolder held up well in the first brawl, and of course did so again with the addition of a factory. Double your pleasure, double your fun. The Last Stand Navy is ready to gun.

Panic!!! [by Dukeslayer]
Panic indeed. Not only was this a Sentinel melee rammer, it also had a surprise nuke attack. It’s aggression didn’t always serve it well against much larger targets, but it was entertaining to watch.

Raptor II [by Yeedo]
The Raptor II was a Bee drone kiter that (amusingly) liked to charge the enemy. Unfortunately, it did not have the durability or immediate firepower to maintain that lifestyle.

Rochen [by Waste47]
Yet another Farmer entry, however, this was not just any entry. An array of Farmer scatterguns and MLS avengers made this little monster a dps nightmare for anything in it’s path. The only down side being that close-range is not the most survivable place for Farmer to be. … hilarious results ensued.

Scarlet Class Assault Cruiser [by Floof]
Floof’s ship was beautiful and deadly, packing Sentinel guns, armor, and an Obliterator. It did have a minor weak spot up it’s back side, which was exploited liberally.

Silver Bullet [by InsaneAsylum]
The Silver Bullet proved to be the most dangerous thing on the battlefield, exuding speed, agility, enough punch to dig through the heaviest armor, and durability to survive hits from other Tinkrell and return fire. Indeed, a silver bullet for the other 19 ships in the arena.

Skelly [by XDERP7]
Skelly is a Terran brawler with enough armor to go heads-up with any of the other brawlers. Unfortunately, it only weighed-in at 5740P and thus lacked the right-hand punch needed for those heavy-weight brawler fights.

Terran Cityship Alpha [by Climhazzard]
Once again proving the durability of the Cityship design, this threatening display of brawler-ness was usually one of the last ships in the arena. Unfortunately, that left it mono-a-mono against the Tinkrell kiters. Chase Tinkrell kiters it does not.

Ziggurat Smith [by Drillz]
A revised version of Drillz’s Legendary Ziggurat, it again proved how threatening and flexible the design is. Losing out only to Tinkrell mobility.
